“Enough with these motherfucking dance songs, you gotta slow it down” The-Dream croons on his new single, lamenting the rise of EDM bangers and reminiscing about the good old days when all he had to do was stand behind a girl on the dancefloor. It’s not likely to be replacing the bangers on any DJ set lists – it certainly isn’t up to The-Dream’s usual standards – but it’s a fun slice of schmaltzy R&B, now with a suitably cheesy (and bizarrely 1950s-inspired – because booty-related nostalgia is just as romantic as plain old nostalgia) video to match.
