Abra Cadabra drops first single from official 'Trapping' film soundtrack
After announcing he'll be starring in an upcoming film exploring the prevalent problem of country lines drug dealing in the UK, Abra Cadabra releases the first single from the movie's soundtrack.
Preceding the release of 'Trapping' on September 15, the MOBO Award-winning rapper's new track 'Street View' lands alongside an accompanying music video which premieres at 7pm today.
'Trapping' is the work of legendary British directors, actors and grime pioneers, Femi Oyeniran (Kidulthood) and Nicky “Slimting” Walker (So Solid Crew), as well as award-winning social activist filmmaker Penny Woolcock.
Filmed between economically depressed areas of London and Margate in Kent, the movie aims to capture an honest portrayal of country lines subculture and its sordid reality, without glorifying it.
The film will be accompanied by an EP soundtrack featuring original tracks from Abra Cadabra and an all-star mix of talent yet to be announced. Alongside upcoming actors Louis Ede and Aaliyah Gohir, ‘Trapping’ also features C-Biz, Femi Oyeniran, OFB and more.
