Eyedress pays homage to his mother with new shoegaze anthem 'Teen Mom'
Eyedress returns with a brand new single, titled 'Teen Mom'.
Paying tribute to his mother, the singer and producer's latest offering is a shoegaze-laced track that nods to Eyedress’ childhood growing up in the ‘90s. The song is accompanied by a music video, which bounces between filmed footage and stop-motion claymation. An ode to classic sitcoms, the visual follows Eyedress and his family as he recounts all the things his mother did for him during his childhood.
Speaking about the song, Eyedress says: "I came up with the riff and the main chorus idea more than ten years ago when I was still living with my parents in the Philippines. Lyrically I was trying to revisit my childhood and what it was like for me growing up in America.
"I wanted to show my mom's perspective because I spent a lot of time with her while my dad would be at work. She would do everything from driving me to school to driving me and my friends to the mall or the skatepark during our free time."
'Teen Mom' is the latest release from Eyedress since signing with RCA Records earlier this year.
