Visions Of Trees play the shadowy, otherworldly game. They do it with grit, there’s solidity in the haze. Clear melodies, tribal clicks, delicate rhythms, stop this from getting stuck in the clouds.
The pair behind this are Joni Juden and Sarah Atalar, East London residents who met back in 2009 and started making music together in a friends basement in Dalston. Self-released music, a phase wearing masks, and several remixes for the likes of D’eon, Comanechi and oOoOO followed. Now they’ve finally got around to making their debut label release, with ‘Sometimes It Kills/No Flag’ out last week on Moshi Moshi. We asked them for some quick thoughts on the single.
