Premiere: 'Wait4Me' is hidingthehurt's emo-leaning summer anthem
hidingthehurt‘s dream as an artist couldn’t be any clearer – he wants to become the UK’s biggest emo popstar.
Citing the likes of Lil Peep, Kid Cudi and Joy Division as key influences, the 18-year-old is on a journey to connect with people across the world and guide them through difficult periods with his soul-bearing music. “I want to help people who are going through the same motions I am,” he says of his ambition as a creative.
‘Wait4Me’, which we’re premiering below, is the latest glitchy rap/pop fusion from the teenager, and follows his recent singles ‘Tell Me’, ‘The Station’, and ‘Guess I Meant Nothing To You’.
Produced by Ottawa-based beatmaker lil biscuit, the lively cross-continent collaboration is flooded with hidingthehurt’s emotive melodies and boasts a face-melting drop that begs to be performed live this summer.
