Sofi Nova's 'Go Pick Up Your Phone' Is a Spacey Dancefloor Anthem of Longing
Rising London artist Sofi Nova returns with her latest single, 'Go pick up your phone,' a shimmering dance-pop track that captures the late-night ache of missing someone mid-revelry.
Known for her genre-blurring sound and introspective lyricism, Sofi continues to craft emotionally resonant music that straddles the line between vulnerability and euphoria.
The new single follows a string of recent releases including 'Nothing Ever Changes' and 'Roller Ride,' and marks another step toward the release of her debut EP, 'Heartbreak Chronicles,' landing 29th August.
'Go pick up your phone' was born, as Sofi explains, from a very real moment: “I wrote it after feeling lonely when I was out dancing, and longing to be with a person who wasn’t there. It’s for anyone who’s ever felt like everyone around them is falling in love, but you’re alone - which makes you want to drunk call your ex. I hope it makes you dance.”
The track was produced in collaboration with her longtime friend George Gianluca in the intimate setting of her bedroom studio, where much of Sofi’s music takes shape. Layering dreamy synths, pulsing bass, and her unmistakable, soulful vocals, 'Go pick up your phone' merges nostalgic club energy with deeply relatable storytelling.
With a growing following and a fearless creative voice, Sofi Nova is carving a space that’s entirely her own - where heartbreak meets healing on the dancefloor.
'Go pick up your phone' is out now.
