Sú North Teams Up With Limbo For 'Speedin'
Teeming with infectious beats and poetic lyrics, 'Speedin' blends North’s innovative rap style with a melodic, sing-along hook.
North seamlessly transitions from rapping to singing, while Limbo’s buttery bedroom pop vocals shine in the latter half of the song. Their harmonies glide over synths and electronic drum pads, crafting a youthful sound reminiscent of artists like Mac Miller, Lil Yachty, and Remi Wolf.
'Speedin' was inspired by North's love for freedom and filmmaking. He explains that on set, camera ops or DPs will let the cast and crew know cameras are rolling by saying “speeding”. This is repeated until the director feels they've secured a good take. "I believe this is exactly how life works," North explains. "Life is the camera and I work with the people I care about to create these little moments in life that we can remember together. Just like filmmaking we keep trying until we get it right.”
“Freedom in not being perfect, freedom in trying things and failing, freedom in understanding that we are not alone in this journey called life,” North shares. “I’m living life with you. See life through my lens of self discovery, joy and therapy.”
'Speedin' is out now.
