TĀLĀ - Praise (feat. Sylas)

The last time we heard from London-based TĀLĀ, the producer/singer-songwriter had teamed up with How To Dress Well’s Tom Krell on The One for the Songs From Scratch series. It turns out that The One isn’t the last of TALA’s collaborations, after today (August 27th) unveiling a new track titled Praise with fellow Londoners Sylas.

Born from a “shared love for Boyz II Men”, Praise’s weight is an emotional one; there’s a euphoric kick behind each drum rap and beat snap, elevating the agonising words into a territory of washed synths and blossoming (but never menacing) sub-bass. Can’t you see that you’re breaking my heart? the trio harmonises, holding on to a swirling creation that stretches far beyond the realms of the producer’s underground studio.

Listen to Praise above and revisit our Next interview with TĀLĀ from earlier this year.

TĀLĀ’s latest EP Alchemy is out on Aesop now (buy).
