Holly Herndon - Movement [album stream]

Stream the disorienting debut album from the exciting RVNG artist.

Electronic composer Holly Herndon studied music as a student and a DJ, both in a California classroom and in the clubs of Berlin, and as a result her dark and brooding debut album ‘Movement’ explores the extremes of the effects of sounds on both the mind and body.

With its distorted vocal samples featuring eerie gasps and sighs, its insistent thumps and its warped, sliding synths, the album manages to be both intellectual and visceral at once, containing sounds you’re unlikely to have heard in music before; it could even stretch your opinion of what music actually is.

Stream the record over at NPR.

RVNG Intl. will release ‘Movement’ on the 13th November.
