Laurel Halo - Ainnome

The release of Laurel Halo's new album 'Chance Of Rain' is only a month away, and ahead of that she's shared lush techno engine Ainnome, a constantly shapeshifting array of sounds set to a jogging club rhythm. Ainnome is the penultimate track on 'Chance Of Rain' and seems to belie the album's sombre title – like a faint light beaming through the clouds on a muggy day, it's not exactly euphoric, but it's certainly nothing grim. It's good to hear something that doesn't occupy one side or the other of an artificial binary emotional divide.
