Lovebox, Parklife, All Points East and more festivals have been postponed
Lovebox, Parklife and All Points East are the latest UK festivals added to a growing list of cancelled events due to the spread of COVID-19.
Manchester’s Parklife, which was due to take place at Heaton Park and London’s Lovebox in Gunnersbury Park were both due to be held over the weekend of June 12th – 14th.
New data analysis yesterday confirmed that more than 400 festivals have been canceled or postponed globally, with the total revenue loss estimate already exceeding $5.5B.
Download, The Great Escape and Glastonbury have also cancelled their 2020 editions.
In a statement, the organisers of All Points East said: “Alongside the now enforced period of social isolation, the government has stated that emergency services will not be able to support major events. Furthermore, the projected strain that is being placed on the NHS will push this institution and its staff to levels never seen before. It is therefore inconceivable for us to add any distraction to these organisations.”
