Moon Duo - Slow Down Low

The cosmic rock duo channel a restless energy in a new song from their third album.

Moon Duo are releasing a new album, 'Shadow of the Sun', in March.

Ripley Johnson and Sanae Yamada are veterans by now. While Moon Duo were once billed as a side project to psychedelic rock group Wooden Shjips, they've since stepped out of that shadow and knocked together a sizeable back catalogue. 'Shadow of the Sun' is their third album and was conceived during a bit of downtime for the band, allowing them to look back on the past few years of non-stop touring and live performances.

Such a description might make you think that this would be a calmer, more reflective listen, but if anything this period of stasis just made them restless: new song Slow Down Low is a ferocious bit of cosmic rock 'n' roll that's itching to break loose.
