A good track transition is everything, like turning a street corner and finding a whole new world at your feet. Berlin-via-Melbourne producer Phoebe Kiddo works that knowledge to fine result on Chasing Dreams, a highlight from her forthcoming debut album 'Artefacts Of Broken Dreams'. There's a mid-point pause, a potent silence, then her intricate – almost mathematic – mesh of drums and synths return surer than before. There's actually something of early Clark to her handling of texture, all roughed up but resolute.
