R.I.P. Barron Machat of Hippos In Tanks

Barron Machat, the co-founder and CEO of LA-based experimental label Hippos In Tanks, has reportedly died aged 27.

The news came via tweets from Oneohtrix Point Never and Robin Carolan of Tri Angle Records.

Hippos In Tanks released records from Dean Blunt, Laurel Halo, James Ferraro, Autre Ne Veut, Gatekeeper, and many, many other artists between 2010 and 2013.

Machat's family have stated that he died in a car accident in Miami.
