Skepta, Jme and Julie Adenuga's mum is releasing a book
Ify Adenuga, the mother of Skepta, Jme, Julie and Jason Adenuga, has announced Endless Fortune, a new memoir.
Set for release on October 15th, the book will tell the story of how Adenuga went from being a “penniless student in a foreign country” to “becoming the mother of four of the most successful creatives working in Great Britain today.”
As well as telling Adenuga’s life story, including her uprooting from Nigeria to London in 1980, the book will feature stories of the Adenuga children’s upbringing. Writing on her website, Ify Adenuga said: “My overall objective here is two-fold. First, is to inform both my children and subsequent grandchildren about my life growing up & how different it is to theirs – an opportunity I missed with my own parents.
“Second of all, is to recognise and appreciate all diasporas, regardless of where they call home.”
