Rosie Lowe - How'd You Like It

Sophisticated pop songwriting with a wonky and warbly instrumental.

Rosie Lowe's latest song How'd You Like It follows previous single Water Came Down and its Pional remix as the second track to be taken from her debut album, which is due out in early 2015. What you might not immediately notice listening to the song is that it has a pretty weird and warbly instrumental ("Lovin the unorthodox instrumental", as one Soundcloud commenter writes), which just goes to show that so long as you have Lowe's sophisticated pop songwriting and vocal talents, you can cram any kind of weird noises underneath it.

"This song sits so close to my heart…" Lowe says of the song on Facebook, "I wrote it in the summer with my sister."
