Tame Impala launch initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of their tour

The band have teamed up with nonprofit Reverb to introduce some eco-friendly measures

In a bid to reduce the carbon footprint and waste during their upcoming world tour, Tame Impala have teamed up with nonprofit organisation Reverb to introduce eco-friendly initiatives for their shows.

Tame Impala will install water refill stations at each show in an effort to reduce single-use plastics, as well as connecting with other nonprofits, funding projects around the world that help directly eliminate greenhouse gases.

The band will also donate unused food and toiletries from hotels to local shelters, while them and the crew will be armed with reusable water bottles and insulated mugs on the road.

Recycling will be available at the shows, backstage, and on their tour bus, and they plan to use environmentally-friendly cleaning products wherever possible.
