UNTOLD Festival adds more names to line-up and announces theme for 2023

Romania's biggest festival is edging closer and closer. With that in mind, UNTOLD is bolstering its programme for 2023 by unveiling this year's theme: protector of the world capital of night and magic, also known as the 'light phoenix'.

The festival has also added Tale of Us, Anna Tur, Markus Schulz, Justin Jesso and Olly Murs onto the star-studded line up.

Having already locked in David Guetta, Imagine Dragons, Amelie Lens, Martin Garrix, Alesso, KSHMR, Boris Brejcha, Camelphat, Marco Carola, Dixon, Bedouin and many more, the eighth chapter of UNTOLD is shaping up to be one to remember.

DMY took a trip to Romania earlier this year to attend UNTOLD 2022. "The festival really is an all-sense-tingling experience," we wrote in our review.

"The whole theme of the festival is magic, luna and associated words...once you’re there in person it all makes sense, and you really feel like you’re part of a community of like-minded individuals. It’s fascinating watching the crowd here too. From the amount of people waiting at the opening gates to the amount of screaming fans for every artist."

Across the 4 days and 4 nights of the festival, the creators of the UNTOLD experience will transform the 235,000 square meters of Central Park in Cluj-Napoca into a musical spectacle, with sounds from live acts, EDM shows, techno, tech-house, deep-house, house, trance, hip-hop, pop, drum 'n' bass, trap, dubstep, trip-hop, and many more.

Last month, UNTOLD also announced a first-of-its-kind mega-festival in Dubai's Expo City, breaking a DJing world record to mark the occasion.

Normally taking place in its stomping ground of Romania, UNTOLD has grown to become one of Europe's biggest party destinations for electronic music lovers. Now preparing its Middle East debut in February 2024, UNTOLD Dubai promises to revolutionise the region's entertainment sector and establish itself as a new jewel in the crown of Expo City.
