Eartheater announces upcoming 'Powders' album with hypnotic new single and visual
Eartheater has announced a brand new album titled 'Powders'. To coincide with the news, the experimental pop princess has released the visual for the project's first single, 'Pure Smile Snake Venom'.
Arriving on September 20 via the artist's own Chemical X imprint, the pop-leaning 'Powders' focuses "on the art of storytelling through more upfront lyricism". The anticipated new record will be accompanied in 2024 by a sister album, titled 'Aftermath.' Both LPs were recorded at Sunset Sound in Hollywood.
Towards the end of last year, Eartheater released a deluxe edition of her acclaimed 2019 album ‘Trinity’, boasting six remixes off the original tracklist by Doss, Hara Kiri, Sammy, COUCOU CHLOE, Nation and LCY.
“Trinity was a natural deposit — a testament to the nature of patient desire and genuine chemistry with my immediate community,” said Eartheater. “It was the first release marking my independence and it transcended in spite of having a traditional campaign or label resources. It spread via word of mouth and romance amongst listeners, and was one of the greatest validations of my journey as an artist. Its effortlessness opened the space for the discipline that was needed for Phoenix, the album that followed it.”
Now on her way to releasing the follow-up to her critically acclaimed 2020 album 'Phoenix: Flames Are Dew Upon My Skin', Eartheater has turned in one of her most striking visuals yet, directed by Daniel Sannwald (Billie Eilish, Beyoncé, Rosalia, Bad Bunny).
