In the process of opening up on debut album ‘Learning’, Perfume Genius clearly exorcised many demons. His voice shines through stronger and clearer than ever on Hood, the second taste of his forthcoming new album ‘Put Your Back N 2 It’. That’s not to say he’s not dealing with matters any less raw – Hood addresses the hidden fears that eat away at us no matter how loved we are, while All Waters confronts normalised homophobia – but this time he’s looking them direct in the eye, surely and confidently.
