Nonclassical are hosting a 'Pioneers of Electronic Music' festival

Contemporary classical record label and club night Nonclassical are hosting a festival dedicated to early electronic music in March. The Pioneers of Electronic Music festival will focus on the work of the innovators and the avant-garde of electronics, and will include film screenings, live music, DJ sets and workshops across various venues in East London, including XOYO, the Rio Cinema and The Macbeth.

“It’s amazing that despite the ubiquity of electronic music we know so little about its origins.” Nonclassical founder Gabriel Prokofiev says, “People like Raymond Scott and FC Judd should be household names given how important they were, so it’s going to be really exciting to see their work profiled and to draw those connections.”

The festival will take place between the 6th and 17th March. A full events diary for the festival and further details about booking can be found on the Nonclassical website.
