Dide: Who is the masked rapper claiming to be a 'Premier League footballer'?
A masked rapper claiming to be a Premier League footballer has sent the football community into meltdown with the release of his debut single 'Thrill'.
Going by the moniker Dide, the rapper keeps his identity unknown by wearing a uniquely designed mask that's covered in roses.
After first appearing on YouTube earlier this year with an introductory freestyle - captioned: "Premier league footballer jumps in the UK music scene" - the emerging lyricist's new music video has already been viewed over 334,000 times in just 4 days.
Social media has been set ablaze with speculation about which baller the masked rapper could be. At the time of writing, Dide's identity has not yet been confirmed, however, some of the names being thrown around by fans include Eddie Nketiah, Wilfried Zaha and Noni Madueke.
Others online have also suggested that it's not a Premier League footballer at all, but instead the result of a smart PR campaign setting out to increase interest in the newcomer.
Whoever the rapper is, what isn't up for debate is the quality of the track, which stands alone as one of the strongest UK rap entries this week.
