Mac DeMarco - Young Blood

Mac DeMarco has a new Rob Lowe-inspired listen ready – the latest download for the Adult Swim singles series – aptly titled Young Blood. It's inspired by the 1986 sports-romance film of the same name but DeMarco's no flop: his signature deep-voiced deadpan coupled with fuzzed out guitar and scuzzy hooks is always a guiltily good time. A tad twangier than his usual material, it's still at its core a testament to DeMarco's lovable goofiness and oddball sense of humour, as he sleazily croons about one more "night on the ice" and inserts a strange hockey sportscaster impression half-way through the track.
