One quick question: Auntie Flo

Named after his independent, cat-owning 95 year old aunt in Goa, Auntie Flo is better known as Brian D’Souza. Despite his mum coming from Goa via Kenya, his upbringing wasn’t as international as his ancestry. “I’d love to say I have a rich history of listening to African and Indian music, but unfortunately that’s not the case. It’s a more recent interest of mine. As a scene stagnates I always jump ship in search of fresher sounds.” Well it must have lay dormant deep in his bones because his production feels like its rolled in fresh off the South Atlantic. Set for release on 21st March, his debut on Huntley & Palmer’s hosts the contagious chant of A-side Highlife and the more late-night, twisted B-side, Goa.

What do you do when you’re living the highlife?

As much as I’d like to say I hang out with Charlie Sheen every night, I’d probably prefer chilling, slippers on with a bacon roll, can of Bru and Sunday papers.
