Premiere: BAYLI tackles deception on R&B cut 'boys lie'

The rising soloist shares her second-ever single...

As an artist, BAYLI has an interesting history. She was formerly a member of The Skins, a five-piece group that were under the guidance of Rick Rubin, before parting ways in favour of a solo career. She’s proven she can wield a pen, having been employed by Warner Chapel writing for Duckwrth, Jesse McCartney and more, but is now zeroing in on her own trajectory.

Hot on the heels of the queer talent’s cosmic debut single, ‘sushi for breakfast’, is ‘boys lie’. Out tomorrow, it’s a track that elegantly raises a middle finger to that particular gender. Described as ‘spacey next-level R&B’, its bumpin’ instrumental laced with languid guitar strokes comes courtesy of Yoshi, responsible for beats for KSI and Trippie Redd.

You can catch BAYLI playing Club Quarantine on May 10th, so make sure to set a reminder.
