Kwes is making an opera

A co-production between Warp’s London shiner Kwes and young opera company GO Opera, Opera di Peroni will open in London on the 4th of July in London.

Kwes has completely reworked an aria from La Rondine, Puccini’s 1917 opera. A full performance is slated for Autumn, but next week’s event will incorporate pieces from Verdi’s La Traviata and Puccini’s La Boheme at Triton Square, Regent’s Place. Both operas will incorporate a city tour of Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool and Glasgow following the London events.
