1. Naomi Wild – ‘WHOSE LOVE’ (feat. Tempest)
Los Angeles singer-songwriter Naomi Wild’s latest single ‘WHOSE LOVE’ is a dreamy ode to heartbreak, serving as an appetiser for what listeners can expect on her forthcoming debut album. Enlisting fellow artist and friend Tempest, the track embodies the pair’s inimitable chemistry and carves out new stylistic lanes for each of them.
2. Glimji – ‘A Gem so Precious’
Drawing from a canon of UK garage and trance, London-based electronic artist Glimji’s new fourth single ‘A Gem so Precious’ is named accordingly. Splicing entrancing synths with hooky, nostalgic vocals, the resulting sound is familiar to what we’ve heard from the rising talent so far while at the same time remaining so unique.
3. Natanya Popoola – ‘Foolish’
Marrying themes of divine femininity and independence with a melting pot of neo-soul and alt-R&B, Natanya Popoola’s new single is one to have on repeat. Using the momentum gained on TikTok to propel her own levels upwards, Natanya is already a star in the making and is yet to put a foot wrong.
4. Matt Sterling – ‘Faded’
Producer and singer-songwriter Matt Sterling’s soul-bearing new single ‘Faded’ has dropped just in time for summer. Propped up by a sublime rhythm section and a crackling, hazy atmosphere, Sterling’s vocals pierce through the moody drums to show what the Chicago local is all about.
5. LADIPOE – ‘Law of Attraction’
Despite being released in 2021, we haven’t been able to stop running this one up from LADIPOE since it popped up on our radar. Taken from last year’s ‘Providence’ EP, is an ultra-catchy offering demonstrating the Nigerian rapper’s voice and melody.
