Dread FM Shares New Album, 'Who Killed The Vibe?'

A fusion of alt-hip-hop, electronic and rock

Rapper, producer, vocalist and songwriter, Dread FM, has dropped the vibrant, genre-bending new album, 'Who Killed The Vibe?'

Dread FM is the solo project of West Sussex-based Flynn Murray, yet the artist's studio recordings and live shows are wired by collaboration, playing live with bassist Jude Reid and in the studio with acclaimed producer Erik Miles (Soft Play, Kate Nash) and fellow musician, Bones Ate Arfa.

Murray describes the album as possessing an "unapologetically gritty underground sound, each track curated through a virtual radio broadcast."

From bodacious opener, 'The Hit' to urgent title track, 'Who Killed The Vibe?', across Murray's new record, he's confident but never cocky, experimental but not unreachable. For the uninitiated, Dread FM feels like a delicious combination of Kojaque, Ezra Collective and Jamie T.

You can find classic hip-hop to fuzzy punk sounds on the album, punchy beats and angsty deliveries. It's indicative of more good things to come from the young rapper.

'Who Killed The Vibe?' is out now via Dreadful Records.
