Goldie is remixing his seminal 1995 album 'Timeless', shares first single
Goldie has announced a new double album remixing his seminal 1995 project 'Timeless'. Alongside the news, he's also shared the first single from the project.
Originally written over a quarter of a century ago, ‘Timeless’ is one of electronic music's most influential albums remains and remains as relevant as ever for new generations. The album set a new standard for UK dance music and reached new highs with the technology available at the time, shooting Goldie to legendary status in the scene.
Arriving July 21st, 'Timeless (The Remixes)' features all new mixes from Break, Grey Code, Searchlight, Scar, Nookie, J Kenzo, Trevino and OneMind, plus newly remastered classic mixes.
"Finally, after years of lockdown and all this madness, the Timeless remixes are coming," says Goldie about the new project. "I'm delighted with the lineup of great artists who have produced some lovely takes on the classic tracks. We're kicking off the remixes, in a big way, with the infamous Break; the guy is a specialist, he is, for me, one of the tightest producers out there - he has done a wonderful, sterling job with this release.”
The same vision that drove the original album informs this new remix LP, with each mix commissioned by Goldie himself from a selection of his closest collaborators and most respected peers. The second disc features classic remixes, all newly remastered for the project.
