10 Unmissable Emerging Artists to See at Glastonbury

Add these rising acts to your line-up

Heading to Glastonbury this week? You lucky thing!

The iconic festival, which began in 1970, once again boasts an impressive line-up, featuring some of the biggest and best acts from around the world. The likes of Dua Lipa, Coldplay, Little Simz, SZA, Burna Boy, Idles, The Streets, LCD Soundsystem and many more are all billed across the five day festival at Worthy Farm this year.

While it may draw an endless list of notable names, it's important not to overlook the plethora of bright new talent playing. We've picked 10 you should most definitely catch...

KNEECAP

Outspoken Belfast-hailing rap trio Kneecap have been really building up some buzz as of late. Despite being in the early days of their career, the group have already worked with Toddla T and Fontaines D.C. frontman Grian Chatten. They're playing twice on Saturday, so get down to their early set if you want to blow the cobwebs off from the night before. For a riotous night time jump around, catch their late night slot. Hell, why not see them twice!

When: Saturday, 11:50-12:15; Saturday 01:30-02:15

Where: Woodsies; Peace Stage

Paleblu

Writer, producer, MC, engineer and singer/songwriter Paleblu blends indie with jungle and drum and bass influences while exploring notions of identity and personal exploration. Sounds heavy, but Paleblu's music feels like a cool breeze on a hot summer's day (now, let's hope the British weather plays along). Expect to hear tracks from his recent EP, 'Daisies' released via DMY's self service distribution platform Do Music Yourself.

When: Friday, 15:00-15:40

Where: Strummerville

Rachel Chinouriri

Indie pop riser Rachel Chinouriri tackles quite personal, often heavy topics in her music, but ties it together with a fun, upbeat and carefree sound. She's just dropped her debut album, the critically acclaimed 'What A Devastating Turn Of Events', so is sure to be playing a lot of bangers from the record.

When: Sunday, 12:30-13:15

Where: Other Stage

Ragz Originale

North London vocalist and producer Ragz Originale will be bringing his progressive blend of rap, soul, R&B and alternative electronic sounds to his daytime set on Saturday. A great way to get back any groove you may have lost by day three of the festival. Listen out for tracks from 2023's 'Bare Sugar' plus hits like 'brush u', 'low frequency' and 'OG lullaby' from 2021's 'WOAH' released via DMY Artists.

When: Saturday, 13:15-14:00

Where: Lonely Hearts Club

Squid

Eclectic and experimental, five-piece Squid will bring an idiosyncratic cocktail of sounds and styles. Head bop to dubbed-out bass grooves, cinematic synth chops and bursts of hyper-rock guitar and frenetic brass.

When: Friday, 14:00-15:00

Where: West Holts Stage

FLOWEROVLOVE

Looking for some danceable, singalong pop songs? Teenage singer-songwriter FLOWEROVLOVE will put you in an easy-breezy mood - and have her songs stuck in your head on a loop.

When: Friday, 13:30-14:30

Where: Lonely Hearts Club

Bryte

London-based Ghanian rapper Bryte is playing three sets on Thursday evening, with little rest in between. Expect Afro-electronic, rap and experimental club sounds. He's got a great stage presence; make sure you catch at least one of his three sets where the crowd is sure to match his energy. Listen out for tracks like 'See Something' and 'Cool Cool' from his 2021 EP with Mina 'Abeka Bugatti' released via DMY Artists.

When: Thursday 19:00-19:40; Thursday 21:30-22:15; Thursday 01:30-02:15

Where: Bread and Roses; The Information; Wishing Well

Bar Italia

Edgy prose and intricate guitar patterns form the shape of rock trio Bar Italia's backbone. No headbanging here, you'll get more of a sway side-to-side vibe.

When: Saturday, 14:00-14:45

Where: The Park Stage

Bob Vylan

Powerhouse duo Bob Vylan have two sets to sound out their punk-rap social commentary. Their new album, 'Humble As The Sun', traverses difficult subjects such as toxic masculinity and the rental crisis to more uplifting messages of self-worth and hope too.
