Aze Drop 'Aze the Band the Duo' EP

An escape into Aze's sassy world

Created as a coping mechanism for the chaos of the current world, on this EP, Aze have added a rockier and more experimental flavour to their existing blend of dream-pop, indie, and R&B.

The duo wield the ability to slip the sharp edge of a hard truth behind catchy indie-pop rhythms, an approach that is particularly overt on 'Mother, did I make you proud?'

The track combines spoken-word verses with pop, evoking the likes of Caroline Polachek and Marina and the Diamonds. This is their most infectious song yet, mixing seductive vocals with an analog appeal that feels authentic and handmade.

Elsewhere on the EP, bandmates Beyza and Ezgi continue to face insecurities while also singing of self-acceptance. Melancholy 'Modern Day Woman' is one for Lana Del Rey fans, while 'Jet Matt set North' contains more introspective neo-soul vibes.

Since debuting in 2020, Aze have released an EP, 'Dead Heat', an album, 'Hotline Aze', a stream of singles, and played at renowned festivals like Popfest Wien, Eurosonic and Reeperbahnfestival.

'Aze the Band the Duo' is out now via Ink Music.
