Hudson Mohawke and Nikki Nair release extended six-track 'Set The Roof' EP
Hudson Mohawke and Nikki Nair have teamed up again for an expanded 6-track edition of 'Set The Roof', released today on Warp Records. The pair are celebrating with sets at fabric in London tonight.
After releasing the original 3-track project back in May, Hud Mo and Nikki Nair return with a vengeance. Adding 3 more dance floor weapons to the mix - 'Long Ago', 'Wait A Minute' and 'Generator' - the extended version is closing out summer the same way the boys started it.
The project follows a huge year for both artists that saw Mohawke release his acclaimed third full-length record - and one of our shouts for album of the year - 'Cry Sugar'. Meanwhile, Knoxville-born and Atlanta-based producer Nikki Nair spent 2022 garnering even more notability, releasing popular singles with Studio Barnhus, VISION and Sam Binga's Pineapple Records.
'Set The Roof' spawned from a number of hang outs in Hud Mo’s Healthfarm studio in Echo Park, Los Angeles.
Back in June, Hudson Mohawke released the official soundtrack for the 2023 Wimbledon tournament.
Titled 'Pushing On (Always Like Never Before)', the Glasgow-born producer's offering featured in the tennis tournament's official trailer which celebrated the sport's "golden era" heroes such as Serena Williams, Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal, as well as the modern stars who will be appeared on the court earlier this summer.
