Overmono sample Tirzah on hefty new single 'Is U', announce debut album
Overmono return with a brand new single to run alongside the announcement of their debut album 'Good Lies', out Friday May 12 2023 via XL Recordings.
The London duo's latest track 'Is U' is the second to be released from the upcoming project, splicing a sample from fellow London-based artist Tirzah's track 'Gladly' with the dynamic and intricate production they've become synonymous with on dance floors around the globe.
Following a run of ground-breaking club EPs between 2020 and 2022, Overmono are back to present their most ambitious and highly-anticipated release to date - consisting of 12 tracks that distil their music careers so far.
Talking about their debut album 'Good Lies', Overmono says: “Across the last two years, we have spent so much time on the road, making music whenever we could. Moving around all the time was always really inspiring and got us experimenting a lot and having fun with how we created chords or chopped and pitched vocals. This album is really a letter of love to the journey so far and marks where we want to take things."
